Minor Rental Agreement

Minors aged 16–17 may participate in NJT Adventure Co. rides only with a parent or legal guardian’s approval and signature. Below is a simple summary of the key terms. The full legal agreement must still be reviewed and signed before riding.

 

⚠️ Off‑Road Riding Is a High‑Risk Activity

Off‑road motorcycle riding can cause serious injury, property damage, or death. Both the minor and the parent/guardian must acknowledge and accept these risks.

 

📝 What the Parent/Guardian Agrees To

By signing, the parent/guardian:

  • Accepts all risks on behalf of the minor

  • Releases NJT Adventure Co. from liability for injuries or damages

  • Agrees to indemnify (protect and reimburse) the Company for any claims involving the minor

  • Accepts full financial responsibility for any damage caused by the minor

  • Authorizes emergency medical treatment if needed

  • Confirms the minor is physically and mentally capable of participating

 

📝 What the Minor Agrees To

The minor must agree to:

  • Ride safely and responsibly

  • Follow all rules and guide instructions

  • Wear proper protective gear at all times

  • Stay within their skill level

  • Respect other riders and the environment

 

💰 Damage Responsibility

Parents/guardians are financially responsible for all damage caused by the minor, including:

  • Broken parts

  • Crashes

  • Misuse

  • Mechanical damage caused by improper operation

  • Total loss of the motorcycle

 

🧤 Gear Responsibility

We provide helmets and protective gear if needed. The minor and parent/guardian are responsible for:

  • Inspecting gear before use

  • Ensuring proper fit

  • Returning gear in good condition

 

🧭 Guided Ride Expectations

Guides lead the route but do not supervise or guarantee safety.

The minor remains responsible for:

  • Speed

  • Line choice

  • Hazard avoidance

  • Riding within their ability

Parents/guardians acknowledge that guides cannot monitor every rider at all times.

 

🚫 Prohibited Behavior

Minors may not:

  • Ride under the influence

  • Perform stunts or race

  • Ride on public roads

  • Allow anyone else to ride the motorcycle

  • Ignore guide instructions

 

🏥 Medical Authorization

Parents/guardians authorize emergency medical treatment and agree to cover all associated costs.

 

⚖️ Legal Terms

  • No warranties are provided

  • California law applies

  • All disputes are resolved through binding arbitration

Minor:
